Job summary

The Hillman Group is seeking a Territory Manager to drive sales across assigned territory with strong customer service. You will collaborate with existing accounts to grow market share and develop trusted business relationships built on integrity.

Travel is required daily, with potential to drive up to 200 miles per day; you can set your own hours and work independently. The role offers a competitive base with commission potential and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work-related experience.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications and applicable sales software.
• Prior sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a territory to achieve sales goals and maintain excellent customer service.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with accounts to drive growth.
• Identify opportunities by expanding existing customers and product programs.
• Update merchandising and present Hillman standards.
• Prepare sales proposals, pricing and business agreements.
• Communicate market trends and competitor issues to management.
• Maintain monthly planner and coordinate with corporate programs.
• Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.

Job Summary

Manages assigned territory to achieve sales plan (goals and objectives) while maintaining excellent customer service. Works closely with existing accounts to drive profitable growth and develop market share. Develops strong business relationships built on trust and integrity.

Essential Job Functions

• Manages a consistent call cycle with existing accounts and generates additional revenue by introducing new products and programs.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers, responding promptly to their needs and addressing concerns.
• Identifies growth opportunities through expansion of existing customers.
• Updates merchandising displays to current Hillman standards.
• Generates sales proposals, plan-o-grams and prepares special orders, pricing and business agreements.
• Informs management of any competitive issues, current market trends and analysis of the business as applicable.
• Maintains monthly planner, including any special projects and programs coordinated by corporate staff.
• Communicates effectively with customers, sales management and other stakeholders.

Education & Experience

• College degree or equivalent work-related experience.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications and applicable sales software.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

Sales/Service Environment varies due to location/store set-up. May be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors. Travel required daily. May have to drive 200 miles daily. Hand/eye coordination required. Function vision and hearing required.

Physical Demands

Sales/Service Medium, lifting up to 30 lbs., occasionally pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
