Job summary

Sysco is seeking an experienced outside sales professional for the Gilroy, CA area. You will build and maintain relationships with new and existing accounts, promoting Sysco products and services while achieving sales goals.

The role may require non traditional hours. You will drive to customer sites, coordinate deliveries, and participate in trainings and company events. A strong customer focus and proactive communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years related sales/restaurant management experience.
• Experience in B2B or outside sales is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and penetrate accounts to grow profitable sales in the territory.
• Seek and qualify prospects per company account stratification goals.
• Assess customer needs and tailor product/service mixes accordingly.
• Stay informed on market trends, pricing, and competitors to advise customers.
• Provide product information and practical training to customers.
• Travel to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings.
• Coordinate with credit to collect balances due.
• Manage deliveries per routing schedules and resolve order issues.
• Participate in events, trainings, and district meetings.
• Prepare budgets, quotes, and maintain sales records.
