Drive Business Results
- Develop, along with the Director of Sales, and deploy a territory Channel Development Plan to grow PTL’s market share and improve the effectiveness of our channel partners.
- Identify and actively pursue new strategic direct customers and expand PTL’s business within existing accounts.
- Canvas dealers within the territory to identify prospective PTL dealers and understand competitors’ channel capabilities.
- Communicate critical milestones, process changes, incentives, and other notifications in real time to dealers.
- Report on competitor activities, including pricing and product development, providing documentation when available.
- Implement dealer scorecard activities, set goals, monitor progress, and work with dealers on retail growth plans.
- Assist dealers in expanding PTL’s retail customer base and diversify the market reach.
- Report sales results versus goals and develop plans to meet or exceed targets.
- Connect PTL dealers with internal resources for prompt service.
Product Line Responsibilities
- PTL Equipment – Extendo, Traverse, Carry-Lift, Speed Swing, Mobile Elevating Work Platforms, All-Terrain Derrick.
Product Knowledge
- Develop deep knowledge of PTL products, capabilities, and applications to serve as a product expert.
- Convey product knowledge and train stakeholders, dealer personnel, and customers to position PTL as a premium brand.
- Collaborate with PTL OE Parts Sales to promote genuine parts and their benefits.
Experience and Education
- Minimum 3+ years in distribution channel development, territory, and account management.
- B.A. or B.S. Degree required.
Skills and Other Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and CRM/ERP software.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of relevant industries and technical skills in mechanics and hydraulics.
Position Details
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility as needed.
- Frequent travel (up to 75%), including overnight stays.
- Remote, field-based work environment, with occasional site visits requiring navigating terrain and equipment.
