Job summary

Jobot Consulting is seeking a driven Business Development Officer focused on consumer lending in Southern California. You will expand the loan portfolio through field-based client engagement, cultivating relationships and partnerships across San Diego and Orange County.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in financial services or banking, with a proven pipeline development ability and a self-starting attitude. Hybrid work and long-term growth potential are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in business development, loan production, portfolio management, banking, lending, financial services, or outside sales.
• Proven ability to generate new business and build a pipeline.
• Strong hunter mentality with a high degree of autonomy.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Experience in consumer lending, mortgage, banking, or manufactured housing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business relationships throughout Southern California.
• Generate consumer lending opportunities with a focus on manufactured housing financing.
• Build and manage an active pipeline from initial contact to referral to the lending team.
• Spend time in the field meeting clients, referral partners, retailers, and industry contacts.
• Develop and maintain a network of referral sources and community relationships.
• Partner with internal lending and underwriting teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Represent the organization at networking events and industry functions.
• Build long-term relationships that drive repeat business and referrals.
