The Admission Counselor communicates the university's academic and scholarship programs to prospective students, parents, and high school representatives for the purpose of counseling and recruiting qualified undergraduate students. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse student population.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Background check required.
• Personal computer experience required.
• Attendance guidelines compliance.

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage the recruitment efforts in an assigned geographic territory and conduct recruitment travel.
• Provide marketing plan for territory, and produce frequent progress reports.
• Identify qualified students through high school visits, personal interviews, and direct mail follow up.
• Review applicant files for admission and scholarships and recommend decisions.
• Monitor students' progress from inquiry stage through initial enrolment.
• Participate in event planning and related recruitment projects.
• Provide support for financial aid in conversations with prospective students and parents on affordability and cost.
• Perform other duties as required.
