Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

  • Attendance guidelines compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically manage the recruitment efforts in an assigned geographic territory and conduct recruitment travel.
  • Provide marketing plan for territory, and produce frequent progress reports.
  • Identify qualified students through high school visits, personal interviews, and direct mail follow up.
  • Review applicant files for admission and scholarships and recommend decisions.
  • Monitor students' progress from inquiry stage through initial enrolment.
  • Participate in event planning and related recruitment projects.
  • Provide support for financial aid in conversations with prospective students and parents on affordability and cost.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications (Qualifications Required To Perform The Job Successfully)
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Candidates must demonstrate strong oral/written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Must work effectively with a diverse student population.
  • Personal computer experience required.
  • A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record required.
  • Ability to comply with workplace guidelines and attendance requirements.
  • Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal history background check required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree helpful
  • Experience working in the field of selective college admission, or at least two years of professional experience in recruiting or higher education preferred.
  • Native fluency in Spanish
  • Familiarity with the Rio Grande Valley region of Texas
