Job summary

Preferred Materials, a CRH Company, seeks a motivated Account Manager to grow and manage a territory of ready‑mix concrete and block customers in Florida. You will develop new business, strengthen relationships with contractors and DOT customers, and provide solutions that help projects succeed.

You will thrive as a self‑starter, working with an experienced team while gaining autonomy to expand your territory and advance your career within a leading construction materials organization.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of sales experience in concrete, building materials, construction, or a related industry.
• Experience managing a sales territory and growing customer relationships.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales within an assigned territory through new business development and account expansion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and key customers.
• Prepare accurate and timely quotes while providing product expertise and consultation.
• Identify project opportunities and proactively generate leads and referrals.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
• Manage customer accounts to maximize revenue and long‑term retention.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
