Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks an Intermediate Modeling & Simulation Engineer to support Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. You will model terrestrial RF signals, develop high-fidelity emitter simulations, and contribute to hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop testing environments.

You will apply MATLAB, Python, and C++ to build simulations, interpret intelligence data, and translate system behavior into software models. A DoD Secret clearance is preferred; US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Electrical Eng., Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or closely related).
• 2+ years of professional experience in engineering, modeling, or software development.
• Strong programming fundamentals: variables, functions, Booleans, arrays; algorithm design; OOP concepts.

Responsibilities

• Terrestrial EW signal representation: model ground-based RF emitters, tactical communications, and jamming systems based on data and documents.
• Algorithm & simulation development: implement and test FHSS, DSSS, and other modulation schemes.
• RF environment modeling: account for terrain masking, multipath, atmospheric loss, foliage penetration.
• System testing & validation: integrate threat models into HWIL/SWIL environments for testing.
