Job summary

Wausau Tile is seeking a mechanically inclined general labor associate to set up, adjust, and operate production equipment for terrazzo tile manufacturing. You will monitor processes to maintain safety, quality, and productivity, and read blueprints and paperwork to meet job specs.

Training includes forklift operation and routine maintenance tasks. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow established safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with ability to set up, adjust and operate production equipment.
• Able to read blueprints, specification sheets, and production paperwork.
• Capable of using measuring tools and hand tools.
• Willingness to cross-train for backup in other positions.

Responsibilities

• Set up saws to cut products to size and piece count for each job.
• Set up and operate the Bullnose and Bevel machines.
• Adjust rails, diamonds, belts, and abrasives to meet product specifications.
• Read production paperwork and communicate with leadership.
• Complete required tasks and transactions within the ERP system.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Follow established safety practices and maintain a safe work environment.
• Will crosstrain to be a backup in other positions.
• All other duties assigned.
