Job summary

Boyne Resorts seeks a Terrain Park Hand Crew member at The Summit at Snoqualmie. You will contribute to guest safety and enjoyment through park maintenance, etiquette instruction, and guest assistance.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work variable hours based on seasonal conditions. Prior skiing or snowboarding skill is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Foster park culture that is inclusive, creative, collaborative and safety-minded.
  • Ensure safety by checking entrance ropes/closure, boundary fences, and signage visibility.
  • Inspect and test park features (takeoffs, landings and surfaces).
  • Collaborate with Park Grooming on feature construction and event preparation.
  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude at work.

Overview

Be part of a team that creates an amazing terrain park experience.

Terrain Park Hand Crew is an essential part of Terrain Park operations and guest experience including maintenance, guest communications, and mountain communications. Terrain Park Crew’s efforts should focus on making the guest park experience the best it can be, through maintenance, teaching park etiquette, and offering help whenever we can. Park Crew are often the first park employees that guests interact with, so we encourage crew to share their love of our winter sports through positive interactions.

Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour West of Seattle via Interstate 90 at Snoqualmie Pass, The Summit includes four unique mountain areas, a snow tubing park, Nordic center, SnowSports School, and 10+ food and beverage establishments.

Responsibilities

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

Long Term Thinking
  • Work to create a park culture which is inclusive, creative, collaborative, with a safety-oriented mindset.
Excellence in Execution
  • Check the following are installed: entrance ropes/closure, boundary fence, Park SMART signage is visible and legible.
  • Flagging feature’s (jumps) takeoff and landing areas
  • Inspecting rail, box and jib features (take offs, sides, landings, surfaces of the feature)
  • Testing Features (physically testing (ski or snowboard) the feature) to check for safety for guests
Develop Great People
  • Collaborate with Park Grooming on complex projects including new feature construction, jib installation/removal, and special event course preparation
Attitude is Everything
  • Come to work with a positive and professional attitude
Qualifications

What we are looking for:

Required
  • Skilled skier or snowboarder
  • Strong customer service orientation (good with people)
  • Ability to have consistent attendance
  • Excellent work ethic and self-motivation
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work variable hours depending upon seasonal conditions
  • Must be able demonstrate a high level of skill in skiing and/or snowboarding .
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Wage and Benefit Info:

The wage range for this positions is: from $21.50-25.50/hr DOE

This is a non-benefited role.

All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff).

All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
