Job summary

Friedkin Group seeks a dedicated Supervisor, Terminal Operations to support the Fleet Manager in meeting service level expectations for customers. You will assign work to drivers, manage inventory, and optimize the SBU network while ensuring DOT compliance and efficient vehicle delivery.

You will lead daily driver interactions, monitor performance, and coordinate with yard staff to meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation, business, logistics, or related field.
• 1-3 years Supervisory experience preferred.
• 4-6 years transportation or related industry experience required.
• 1-3 years experience managing transportation drivers in compliance with DOT & FMCSA regulations.
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations (HOS, pre-trip, inspections).
• Strong leadership, attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to manage and prioritize work.
• Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to collect/analyze data and identify trends.
• Process-management mindset and values-based culture.
• Effective communication in oral and written form.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Resourceful problem solver who can adapt to change.

• CDL Class A license with air brakes experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assign work to driver associates and manage inventory levels.
• Assist with ensuring drivers comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations (HOS, daily logs, pre-trip).
• Communicate key issues to driver group and yard coordinators.
• Assist fleet manager in meeting operational KPIs and culture alignment.
• Conduct timely feedback sessions for drivers on quality and safety.
• Support drivers with location-specific requirements for smooth operations.
• Generate operational reports and monitor network activities daily/weekly/monthly.
• Maintain load factor and loaded miles within budgetary parameters.
• Build trust with associates, including drivers and staff.
• Lead culture of cooperation, ownership and values-based behavior.
• Participate in corporate initiatives to ensure timely tasks by direct reports.
• Coordinate secondary market load building and yard scheduling.
• Maintain flexible work schedule and adherence to policies.
