Job summary

Central Transport LLC in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Terminal Manager to lead dock operations, supervise a team of drivers and dock workers, and ensure safe, efficient freight handling.

Ideal candidate will have prior LTL management experience, strong leadership, the ability to hire and mentor staff, a passion for service, and willingness to work 50 hours per week; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior LTL management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership including the ability to hire, coach, counsel, train, and mentor employees.
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service.
• High aptitude for technology.
• The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented.
• Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work 50 hours/week average.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dock operations at the terminal including loading/unloading freight, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain terminal staff.
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers and dock workers.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring facility KPI goals are met and/or exceeded.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as business levels increase.
