Job summary

Odyssey Logistics seeks a hands‑on Terminal Operations Manager to lead our Soldotna terminal in Alaska. The role emphasizes owning daily operations, driving safety, and building strong relationships with customers and staff, all while aligning with the company’s growth objectives.

You will oversee terminal activity, coach staff, manage costs, and work cross-functionally to improve service delivery and efficiency across the terminal and adjacent functions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in logistics, terminal, or freight operations leadership.
• Experience leading teams and developing staff to improve performance.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, FMCSA safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily terminal operations including receiving, loading/unloading, dispatch, and yard activity.
• Develop and coach the team, manage staffing, onboarding, and performance.
• Drive safety, compliance, and cost control while maintaining service levels.
• Build strong customer relationships and support local growth initiatives.
• Improve SOPs and standard operating practices across dock and office functions.
• Collaborate with Safety, Sales, Pricing, and HR to strengthen service and growth.
