Job summary

Cemex US in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a proactive Terminal Operator to support our bulk materials terminal. You will oversee loading, unloading, and shipping operations while upholding the highest safety standards.

You will perform routine equipment inspections, mentor new team members, and collaborate with logistics to optimize schedules. A high school diploma or GED is required; welding or electrical certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; welding or electrical maintenance certifications are a plus.
• Experience in terminal operations or a similar industrial setting preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with safety awareness and the ability to work with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational efficiency by managing daily terminal operations.
• Oversee safe loading and unloading of bulk materials following safety protocols.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on terminal equipment to keep it in peak condition.
• Uphold Cemex’s safety standards and use PPE in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize schedules and resources.
• Mentor and train new team members to elevate performance.
