Job summary

Sprague Operating Resources LLC is hiring a Terminal Operator in Searsport, Maine. The role supports safe, efficient bulk handling and operates a range of mobile equipment in a maritime outdoor setting.

Shifts are rotating (3/12 or 4/12), with nights, weekends, and overtime as needed to cover 24/7 operations. Starting pay is $29 per hour, with opportunities for growth and training. Valid driver’s license and TWIC are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in industrial operations, construction, manufacturing, warehousing, maritime operations, or general labor preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain and maintain TWIC.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate mobile equipment (including skid steers, pay-loaders, forklifts, hoppers, and similar equipment) to support terminal operations.
• Assist with vessel mooring and unmooring operations.
• Monitor terminal operations and report equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions.
• Operate guard shack and truck scales to record inbound and outbound vehicle information.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of terminal equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Provide professional customer service to drivers, contractors, vendors, and customers.
• Occasionally travel to other Sprague facilities to support operational needs.
• Comply with safety, environmental, and security policies and regulatory requirements.
