Job summary

Central Transport is hiring an Assistant Terminal Manager to supervise dock and office operations at our Chicago-area terminal. You will manage up to 30 local LTL drivers, dock personnel and lead your team to meet production schedules while maintaining safety standards.

This role requires strong leadership, experience in transportation operations, and the ability to work 50 hours per week, including nights and weekends. An associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Experience managing a team in transportation operations.
• Prior management, dispatch, and dock experience required.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
• Willing to work 50 hours/week and cover nights/weekends.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee terminal operations including dock and office duties.
• Manage up to 30 drivers and dock personnel to meet schedules.
• Monitor safety and compliance with DOT/OSHA standards.
• Optimize loads by reviewing cube and weight allocations.
