Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Terminal Operator at our Buffalo Terminal in NY to safely operate equipment for loading and unloading rail cars, boats, and trucks. This full-time position emphasizes accuracy, safety, and expeditious processing of requests.

You will handle material loading/unloading, operate truck loading equipment, and maintain equipment and records while adhering to PPE and safety protocols. Experience in cement terminals and SAP knowledge are noted as preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge about computers, Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Experience with customer service and equipment operation and maintenance.
• Cement Terminal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
• Practice and promote safety in such way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate PPE.
• Maintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc.
• Carry out tasks related to loading/unloading material, both bulk and bagged, waterway, and road methods of transportation, as appropriate for the specific location.
• Understand and operate truck loading equipment.
• Operate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipment and assist with general mechanical maintenance.
• Sample product from trucks and barges following company policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records on all terminal equipment.
• Perform clerical functions following the established guidelines for the recording of receipts, shipments and inventory records.
• Other duties as assigned.
