Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Part Time Terminal Operator to safely run terminal operations at the Buffalo Terminal NY. You will load and unload materials, maintain records and help keep the yard, offices, and warehouse in order.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, 1-3 years of experience, and a practical background in mechanical tasks or welding is a plus. You must adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements in all tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of work experience preferred.
• Must be able to complete paperwork accurately.
• Mechanical background and welding experience are desirable.
• Autonomous, meticulous and with good judgment.
• Courteous with customers and able to follow safety protocols.
• Knowledge of cement, construction industry and integrated computer systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage terminal equipment to load and unload boats and trucks.
• Maintain order accuracy and expeditious processing of requests.
• Maintain grounds, offices, warehouse and yard areas.
• Handle loading/unloading of bulk and bagged materials by rail, waterway or road as applicable.
• Understand and operate truck loading equipment.
• Perform general maintenance on mobile equipment and assist with mechanical upkeep.
• Sample products from trucks and barges per company policy.
• Keep accurate maintenance records for terminal equipment.
• Perform clerical tasks recording receipts, shipments and inventory.
