STG Logistics is seeking an Assistant Manager, Terminal Operations to oversee the facility's operational performance. You will plan and direct warehouse and office operations, arrange materials and staffing, and help shape local policies to drive outcomes.

You will support the Terminal Manager in setting performance objectives and ensuring they are met. In this role you will build and lead teams, hire and train staff, and manage supplier relationships to deliver goods within budget.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of supply chain experience in 3PL or similar logistics environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to build and motivate a team.
• Excellent negotiating skills and highly developed communication abilities.
• Proven successful project management skills.
• Proficient PC skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).

Summary

As an Assistant Manager, Terminal Operations you will have the responsibility for the operational performance of the facility. This dynamic role is responsible for planning and directing warehouse and office operations, planning the use of materials and human resources, and for formulating local operational policies that lead to successful outcomes. You will provide support to the Terminal Manager in establishing warehouse performance objectives and will be accountable for achieving these objectives.

• Monitor suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide goods and services within budgetary limits.
• Develop and increase team capabilities through effective hiring, training, and performance management.
• Develop and maintain effective client relationships to enhance business opportunities.
• Champion all facility objectives and cross-functional improvement projects to reduce cost and improve operational effectiveness.
• Interfaces directly with company IT resources to ensure the creation of necessary information technology to meet customer objectives and facilitate efficient operations.

What You’ll Bring

• At least 3 years of supply chain experience preferably in the 3PL industry
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to build and motivate a team
• Excellent negotiating skills and highly developed communication skills
• Proven successful project management skills
• PC skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
