Job summary

Buckeye Partners L.P. in Florida is seeking an Apprentice Terminal Operator to support our terminal, pipeline, marine and rail assets.

This role requires 2+ years of related experience in the Oil & Gas industry and offers hands-on training in operations. You will learn receipt, storage management, and inventory control of petroleum products, and assist with maintenance of loading racks, docks, and related equipment while following safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2+ years related experience in terminal, pipeline or marine operations preferred.
• Knowledge of petroleum industry and environmental/safety regulations is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Train and apply knowledge for maintenance and repair of terminal loading rack, storage and equipment; keep in good order and appearance.
• Learn and be responsible for receipt, storage, and distribution of petroleum products via pipeline, rail and marine dock (if applicable).
• Become familiar with petroleum terminal regulations and environmental/regulatory compliance requirements.
• Ensure management is informed of issues affecting health, safety, security and environmental compliance.
• Respond to terminal, pipeline, rail and marine emergencies when called upon; participate in drills.
