Job summary

Buckeye Partners is seeking an Apprentice Terminal Operator with 2+ years’ related experience in terminal, pipeline or marine operations in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our team.

Learn the overall operation and maintenance of the terminal, pipeline, marine, and rail assets as applicable, including receipt, storage management, and inventory control of petroleum products for the field location.

Qualifications

• 0-2+ years in terminal, pipeline or marine ops.
• Knowledge of pumps, meters, loading rack and dock facilities.
• Petroleum industry knowledge is helpful.
• Inventory control or accounting background is a plus.
• Familiarity with computerized inventory control systems and truck rack automation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Train and maintain terminal loading rack and equipment to standards.
• Learn receipt, storage and distribution of petroleum products.
• Ensure compliance with terminal regulations and environmental/safety directives.
• Notify management of regulatory or safety issues as needed.
• Assist with inventory control and terminal operations.
• Support Asset Team and special projects as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
