Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years leading/supervising airport operations.
  • Previous airline customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily airport operation activities for wheelchair staff and support teams.
  • Conduct daily debriefings to ensure productivity and compliance.
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance with DOT, ADA, FAA and company policies.
  • Coach and mentor staff to improve customer experience and adhere to company culture.
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Prepare Daily Tour Reports and incident reports as needed.

JOB OVERVIEW

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring a high performing operation by leading, engaging, coaching, and developing front‑line team members. You’re also responsible for supporting teams' efforts in creating a safe, reliable operation while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The Terminal Coordinator oversees daily operations, acts as the liaison between staff, management, and business partners, and works closely with their team to maximize customer/client satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Manage activities in the airport operation of Wheelchair agents (All Support staff)
  • Conduct daily debriefing with team members to ensure productivity and compliance
  • Lead airport team to perform their work in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with Federal, state, and local regulations including DOT, ADA, ACAA, FAA, and other government agencies as well as American Airlines and OALS policies and procedures
  • Promotean environment of mutual respect and trust between team members
  • Coachand mentor team members in skill development, exceeding customer experience and company culture behaviors, policies and procedures
  • Establish and promote effective relationships with an external and internal customer base that fosters integrity, respect, and dignity
  • Communicate with management regarding operations and personnel
  • Complete and submit Daily Tour Report on the operation
  • Assist with completion of Incident Reports for issue, incident, injury of any customer or team member
  • Ability to work extra hours when there are operational needs
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days-off
  • Other duty may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, LICENSE, and/or CERTIFICATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE and/or KNOWLEDGE

  • 3 years or more leading/supervising Airport operation
  • Previous Support Service Airline experience is preferred

SKILL and/or ABILITIES

  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • Bilingual is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work in a teamwork environment and delegate tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent skills with computers including Excel
  • Ability to think strategically and have motivational skills to lead a team.
  • Confidence, patience, and politeness, when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Communication skills that allow you to inform, help, and advise customers clearly and effectively.
  • Must be professional appearance and adhere to company grooming/uniform policy
  • Requires flexibility to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice, and as needed during irregular operations.
