Job description

We’re hiring a Terminal Commercial Manager to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth in our terminal portfolios. The Commercial Manager will focus on developing opportunities for growth, maintaining client relationships, and developing action plans to improve performance. This role can be fully remote; however, we have a strong preference for candidates who are based near our headquarters in Waltham, MA.

Responsibilities
  • Revenue Generation: Drive top-line growth through strategic initiatives, pricing, and customer retention.
  • Strategic Asset Evaluation: Assess terminal assets in line with market demand and business objectives.
  • Customer Management & Sales: Manage existing relationships and develop new business, leading negotiations and contracts.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor trends, customer needs, and competition to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Financial Authority: Negotiate and approve deals in line with company policies.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with internal teams to align commercial goals.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Develop forecasts, track performance, and report to leadership.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years in commercial or business development within the midstream/downstream energy sector.
  • Strong relationship-building skills within the industry and internally.
  • Knowledge of creative deal structures and commercial acumen.
  • Basic financial understanding.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Extensive experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Effective communication across various mediums.
  • Strategic thinking skills.
  • Understanding of risk differences in deal scales.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25-30% of the time.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field.
  • MBA preferred.
