Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking an industrial maintenance professional to operate and monitor cement-terminal equipment, including railcar unloading and material transfer systems.

You will troubleshoot, perform hands-on maintenance, load/unload cement, and ensure accurate orders with proper safety practices in a fast-paced environment. A strong mechanical aptitude and safety mindset are required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial mechanical environments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Experience around heavy equipment, conveyors or bulk material systems.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of daily operations.
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Reliable, safety-focused team player.

What Are We Looking For
  • Experience in industrial, mechanical, rail, construction, or heavy equipment environments (not just warehouse)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools for troubleshooting and basic repairs
  • Experience operating or working around heavy equipment, conveyors, or bulk material systems
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of equipment and daily operations
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
  • Reliable work ethic with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Work Environment

This role works in an industrial terminal environment with exposure to weather, moving equipment, and varying noise levels. Personal protective equipment is provided and required. The position may involve physical activity such as climbing, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
