Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Cement Terminal Operator in Fargo, ND. You will operate and monitor bulk cement terminal equipment, including railcar unloading systems and material transfer equipment, ensuring safe, efficient operations.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently outdoors in varying weather, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial, mechanical, rail, construction, or heavy equipment environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools for troubleshooting and basic repairs.
• Experience operating or working around heavy equipment, conveyors, or bulk material systems.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of equipment and daily operations.
• Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor bulk cement terminal equipment, including railcar unloading systems and material transfer equipment
• Troubleshoot and perform hands-on maintenance to keep equipment running and minimize downtime
• Load and unload cement from railcars and trucks while ensuring efficient and safe material flow
• Inspect equipment, identify issues, and complete basic mechanical repairs using tools and diagnostic skills
• Ensure accuracy of orders, documentation, and inventory records
