Job summary

South Staffordshire College is seeking committed Learning Support Assistants to join our Student Support team at Rodbaston campus. Roles are term time only with varied hours to fit college needs and candidates’ availability.

You will support students with EHCPs or learning differences, helping them take part, build confidence and achieve goals within a safe, inclusive environment. Training is provided, some roles may include personal care.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting young people or adults with additional needs is desirable.
• What matters most is a positive attitude, good communication skills, and a genuine desire to support others to succeed.
• Full training and support will be provided where required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with students who have EHCPs, learning differences or other support needs.
• Provide practical and personalised support to enable participation, confidence and independence.
• Assist with personal care where required and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
