Job summary

Wally’s House in Oregon is seeking a compassionate Child and Family Therapist to deliver trauma-informed mental health services for children and adolescents who have experienced abuse, and to support their non-offending caregivers. You will provide TF-CBT-based treatment in collaboration with caregivers and a multidisciplinary team to promote healing and resilience.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field; Oregon licensure preferred;

• Experience delivering trauma-informed therapy to children and families.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical intakes, assessments, and treatment plans.
• Provide trauma-focused therapy to children, adolescents, and caregivers.
• Engage caregivers as active partners in treatment.
• Provide crisis intervention and facilitate groups as needed.
• Collaborate with MDT partners, schools, medical providers, child welfare, law enforcement, and community agencies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and client confidentiality.
• Participate in peer consultation, continuing education, and quality improvement.
• Assist with agency training, grant reporting, and other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Wally’s House is seeking a compassionate Child and Family Therapist to provide trauma-informed mental health services for children and adolescents who have experienced abuse, along with support for their non-offending caregivers. The therapist will provide evidence-based, developmentally appropriate treatment, primarily using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), while working collaboratively with caregivers and multidisciplinary team (MDT) partners to promote healing and resilience.
