Job summary

Shine Counseling LLC is seeking a dedicated Child and Family Therapist to support children (0–9) and their families in Eugene, Oregon. The role emphasizes trauma-informed, culturally responsive care and collaboration with schools and healthcare partners.

You will develop treatment plans, provide individual/family/play therapy, and ensure thorough EMR documentation while upholding ethical standards in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
  • Active Oregon license (or associate registration) as an LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent
  • Experience providing therapy to children and families
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and family-centered care
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation and use of electronic medical records (EMRs)
  • Must pass a background check and meet all requirements for working with vulnerable populations
  • Specialized training or experience in early childhood development (ages 0–5)
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as play therapy, PCIT, DBT, EMDR, or CBT
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities
  • Knowledge of community resources and family systems

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and/or play therapy to children and their caregivers

  • Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and training opportunities

Position Summary:

Shine Counseling is seeking a passionate and skilled Child and Family Therapist to join our growing team. This role focuses on providing therapeutic support to children (primarily ages 0–9) and their families, helping them navigate developmental, emotional, and relational challenges through compassionate, culturally responsive care.

Key Responsibilities:
