Job summary

University of Arkansas, Fayetteville invites nominations and applications for a tenured Associate Professor of Exercise Science in the Department of Health, Human Performance & Recreation. This is a 9-month, full-time, in-person faculty position with an emphasis on teaching, research excellence, and service.

The successful candidate will pursue an established research agenda, secure external funding, mentor early-career faculty, and teach graduate and undergraduate courses.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in Exercise Science or related field.
• Evidence of sustained and ongoing exemplary research as evidenced by external funding, refereed peer-reviewed publications, and presentations.
• Dedicated commitment and competence in teaching and instruction, as evidenced by effective teaching and student mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Pursue established research agenda and secure external funding.
• Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Exercise Science.
• Mentor/advises students; supervise theses, dissertations, and honors projects.
