Job summary

Olympic College is seeking a full-time tenure-track welding faculty member for the Bremerton welding program. The college offers an Associate in Technical Arts Degree in Welding Technology and short-term certificates at the Bremerton and Shelton campuses.

Position primarily based at the Bremerton campus in Bremerton, WA, with opportunities for evening/weekend classes and teaching at satellite campuses. Competitive benefits and a unionized environment are provided.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Welding or related field.
Teaching experience.
Welding industry experience of at least 5 years in all major welding and cutting processes and a history of Welder Certification in most common metal groups.
Current Certified Welding Inspector or Associate Inspector.

Responsibilities

Prepare and teach welding courses in shop-based, lecture and online delivery formats to facilitate student success.
Provide student education and career advising, mentoring and support.
Contribute to welding faculty meetings and activities to complete discipline work.
Update curriculum and develop new programs to meet workforce demands.
Plan, develop and set up classrooms, instructional shops and online teaching environments.
