Job summary

Fort Valley State University invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Veterinary Technology in the CAFST. This 10-month tenure-track appointment will teach undergraduate courses, mentor students and support program activities within the Department of Veterinary Technology.

Qualifications

• DVM degree required.
• GA veterinary licensure or eligibility.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in animal practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality didactic and clinical instruction in radiology, laboratory and biomedical procedures across undergraduate Veterinary Technology courses.
• Design, prepare and supervise student laboratories and hands-on activities.
• Utilize D2L and other tech to deliver materials and engage students.
• Develop course objectives, assignments and evaluation methods.
• Provide timely feedback on student work and advise/mentoring to students.
• Engage in scholarly activity resulting in peer‑reviewed publications and presentations.
• Participate in community service and collaboration with Extension programs.
