Job summary

The Chronicle of Higher Education is announcing a faculty opening within the Systems Engineering Department of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Teach an academic course load of 12 credits per semester in Department courses including Electrical Power Distribution, Energy Systems, and Energy Strategy and Management, as well as core engineering courses in Electronics and Electrical Machines with related Labs
  • Oversee undergraduate laboratory instruction and curricula, designing experiments with clear learning outcomes
  • Advise, mentor, and guide cadets on degree plans and progress toward degree
  • Develop and teach new courses as needed to meet emerging industry demands and academic goals
  • Participate in Department and Academy-wide academic committees to improve MMA’s degree programs and support the academic mission
