Qualifications

• Earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in civil, structural, architectural engineering, or closely related field is required.
• Ability to teach effectively and communicate clearly with students and colleagues.
• Develop externally funded, applied research that involves undergraduate and graduate students and partnerships with stakeholders.
• Hands-on, student-centered learning and teaching, with ability to work in multidisciplinary settings.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate lecture courses and laboratories in civil engineering and structural engineering and design.
• Teach graduate courses and laboratories in structural engineering, design, and related areas.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate‑level research.
• Develop and maintain externally funded research programs.
• Engage in service activities including student advising and curriculum development.
