Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recording Arts or related field.
• Minimum 5 years full-time audio industry experience.
• 5 years college-level teaching experience in professional audio subjects.
• Pro Tools proficiency for Windows and Mac.
• Knowledge of curriculum design and training methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers lectures to students on various topics in relation to a specific discipline.
• Evaluates and grades students’ work and papers.
• Prepares course materials such as syllabi and handouts.
• Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature and attending conferences.
• Maintains student attendance records and grades.
• Facilitates classroom discussions and advises students on curricula and career issues.
• Plans and revises curricula and course content.
• Compiles, administers and grades examinations.
• Collaborates with colleagues on teaching and research issues.
• Maintains office hours to assist students.
• Selects and procures course materials and lab equipment.
• Serves on committees addressing policies and academic issues.
• Participates in campus and community events.
• Oversees adjunct faculty with deans and adjunct services.
