Job summary

The Department of Health and Exercise Science at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in public health. The successful candidate will teach a range of courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, advise students, and supervise internships and applied practice projects.

They will conduct peer‑reviewed research, develop a scholarly agenda, and provide service to the department, college, university, and community.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in public health or related field; PhD or DrPH preferred.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness at undergrad/grad levels.
• Experience teaching multiple modalities (in-person, online, blended).
• Active research agenda and peer‑reviewed publications.
• Current or recent public health practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach a range of public health courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Provide academic advising and supervise internships and applied projects.
• Engage in scholarship and disseminate research findings.
• Contribute service to department, college, university, and community.
