Job summary

The Department of Health and Exercise Science at the University of St. Thomas invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in public health.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses (e.g., epidemiology, health policy), advise students, and supervise internships. They should have peer-reviewed research experience and a commitment to service to the university and community.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in public health, epidemiology, global health, health policy or related field.
• Experience teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate levels (min. 1 year).
• Experience with multiple course modalities (in-person, online, blended).
• Evidence of publishing peer-reviewed research; potential to develop a robust agenda.

Responsibilities

• Teach a range of public health courses at undergrad and grad levels.
• Provide academic advising to students and supervise internships/projects.
• Conduct and disseminate peer‑reviewed research; contribute to scholarly agenda.
• Engage in service to the department, college, university, and community.
