Responsibilities

  • Teach at the graduate level in public health.
  • Provide course development and teach at least one of the listed areas (planning/evaluation, health communications, aging, maternal/child health, leadership and program administration, biostatistics).
  • Contribute to the department's teaching mission and promote inclusive learning.

OVERVIEW

The Department of Health and Exercise Science in the Morrison Family College of Health at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN invites applicants for an adjunct position forSpring 2027in public health. We seek applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching atthegraduate level.We welcome applicants whocanprovide course development and teach at least one of the following: program planning and evaluation, health communications,aging,maternal and child health,leadership and program administration, and biostatistics.

The University of St. Thomas is a dynamic, mission-driven, urban university with10,000 studentsand 450 full-time faculty. Salary Range:

$6,324 per course load for the 2026-2027 school year (per 4 credit undergraduate course).

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A terminal degree (Ph.D., Dr.P.H., or equivalent), U.S. or Foreign Equivalent, in public health, epidemiology, global health, health policy, or related health field.
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness from prior teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. At least one year of teaching experiencerequired, which may include experience teaching on record as a teaching assistant.
  • Experience teaching online.
  • Experience with course development and assessment.
