Job summary

UNLV invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, School of Integrated Health Sciences. The role centers on developing a robust research portfolio with external funding, alongside teaching and mentoring in DPT and PhD programs. Anticipated start date is July 2027.

Candidates must hold a terminal doctorate, be licensed PT in the U.S. with Nevada licensure eligibility, and demonstrate scholarship and grantsmanship.

Qualifications

• Terminal doctorate in physical therapy or rehabilitation sciences from an accredited university.
• Licensed PT in the U.S. with Nevada licensure eligibility.
• Evidence of scholarship with publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Evidence of successful grantsmanship efforts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations.
• Ability to collaborate, solve problems, and be flexible.
• Ability to learn, develop and apply new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop a program of research leading to publications in refereed journals and seek external grants.
• Participate in teaching within the DPT program and advise in PhD programs.
• Engage in university, school, and department service activities.
• Meet university criteria for research productivity under Top Tier Initiatives.
