Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) School of Public Health invites applications for a state-funded, tenure-track Assistant Professor to support the launch and growth of its new Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.

This role offers the opportunity to help shape a developing DPT program at a Carnegie R1 research institution, build an independent research program, and engage in interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in a relevant field with evidence of scholarly productivity.
• Ability to teach and mentor DPT students.
• Capacity to build an externally funded research program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain an independent extramurally fundable research program.
• Teach in the DPT curriculum and related graduate programs.
• Mentor DPT and graduate students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and accreditation processes.
• Seek and secure extramural funding; disseminate findings.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaborations and participate in service.
