Job summary

Roane State Community College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Chemical Engineering Technology Program at the Oak Ridge Branch Campus. The successful candidate will teach a mix of introductory and advanced courses such as Industrial Equipment, Technical Calculations, Process Equipment, and Instrumentation.

Responsibilities include teaching 15 credit hours per semester, maintaining 15 office hours weekly (evenings possible), coordinating labs, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical/Process Engineering or related field.
Demonstrated communication skills (oral and written).
Ability to work with diverse student populations and demonstrate collegiality.

Responsibilities

Plan and teach Chemical Engineering Technology courses as outlined.
Teach 15 course hours per semester and provide 15 office hours per week, including evenings.
Provide service to the campus and students under the Program Director.
Coordinate classroom and lab activities with adjuncts and faculty for consistency.
Oversee lab operations in coordination with the lab technician.
Advise students in the program and participate with the program advisory board.
