Job summary

Qualifications

  • Earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics or Astronomy and a Master's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Meteorology or Geophysics.
  • Hold a LIFE California Community College Instructor Credential.

Responsibilities

  • Teach in-person lecture and laboratory physics courses following outlines.
  • Deliver student-centered instruction and support diverse learning styles.
  • Develop, administer, and evaluate exams and labs aligned with outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage grades in a timely fashion.
  • Collaborate on curriculum and laboratory improvements and mentor STEM students.
  • Participate in governance and department activities to advance student success.
