Ideal candidates will have relevant degrees or equivalent experience and a proven ability to teach trigonometry, calculus-based physics and introductory physical science using a range of pedagogies including technology-enabled delivery.

Qualifications

• Responsive to and understanding of diverse student backgrounds and equity-minded practices.
• Degrees or equivalency as stated: Master’s in physics/astronomy/astrophysics or equivalent education/experience.
• Alternative: Bachelor’s in physics/astronomy plus master’s in engineering/mathematics/meteorology/geophysics or valid CC College Credential.

Responsibilities

• Teach a part-time schedule of trigonometry and calculus-based physics courses as assigned.
• Teach introductory physical science.
• Use a variety of pedagogies and instructional delivery systems, including technology, for in-person, online, and hybrid formats.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Maintain course outlines, syllabi, and records; timely grading and evaluations.
• May have evening/weekend/on-site/off-campus teaching assignments; dual enrollment at local high schools.
