Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead cost-effectiveness and health economics and outcomes research instructional activities across academic programs at the school, supervise students; secure extramural funding; and actively support the vision and mission of the department, school and campus.
  • Conduct original research in cost-effectiveness analysis, health economics and outcomes research, health technology assessment, and pharmaceutical health services research.
  • Secure funding for research projects.
  • Develop interdisciplinary research collaborations with colleagues within the School of Pharmacy as well as with colleagues in the other professional schools across campus.
  • Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
  • Scholarly activity may be pursued either independently or in collaboration with others; however, serving as first author on manuscripts and principal investigator on funded grants is expected for successful progress towards promotion and tenure.
  • Participate in appropriate faculty activities (e.g., faculty assembly, department meetings, faculty committees) and other endeavors.
  • Provide service to professional organizations, citizens of Maryland, and the public at large.
