Job summary

Belmont University in Nashville, TN seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing for a 10-month tenure-track appointment beginning August 1, 2027. Primary duties include classroom, clinical, lab and simulation teaching.

Preference for candidates with a DNP/PhD and experience in behavioral health, public health nursing, informatics, and leadership in nursing science. Duties include advising, scholarly activity, interprofessional engagement, and service.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in nursing (DNP/PhD) preferred for teaching at both undergrad and potential graduate levels.
• Demonstrated capacity for high-quality scholarly activity in nursing science.
• Ability to advise and mentor students across coursework and research.

Responsibilities

• Engage in classroom, clinical, lab and/or simulation teaching.
• Engage in scholarly activity and professional development.
• Advise students in course selection and degree completion.
• Participate in departmental and university committee work.
• Maintain regular on-campus office hours.
