The 65% teaching, 30% research, 5% service position focuses on undergraduate and graduate instruction and building a robust microbiology program committed to student involvement and collaboration.

The successful candidate will conduct research in microbiology, attract extramural funding, publish in peer-reviewed journals, advise students, and engage with the community

Qualifications

Earned Ph.D. in Biology or related area; ABD will not be considered.
Excellent teaching experience in biology/microbiology at undergrad/grad levels.
Willingness to teach 9 adjusted contact hours per semester.
Proven research record with peer-reviewed publications.
Experience in seeking/obtaining extramural funding.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in General Biology, Microbiology, Applied Microbiology.
Develop a dynamic microbiology research program with student participation.
Conduct professional service for the institution, field, and community.
Recruit students for Life, Earth & Environmental Sciences programs.
Advise students on degree plans, scheduling, and preprofessional programs.
