Job summary

Xavier University’s School of Education invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in Mathematics Education, beginning Fall 2027. The position will teach mathematics education coursework serving licensure programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels and will pursue an active research agenda consistent with tenure-track expectations.

Qualifications

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Evidence of, or strong potential for, scholarly research and publication in mathematics education.

Responsibilities

Provide instruction for mathematics education and teacher preparation courses.
Maintain an active program of scholarly research and professional activity in mathematics education.
Advise and mentor students pursuing licensure and degree programs.
Collaborate with program directors and field coordinator regarding field experiences.
Maintain student records and data for licensure and accreditation.
Contribute to service responsibilities of the School of Education, College, and University.
Sustain and develop relationships with area schools and districts.
