Job summary

The Naval War College (NWC) in Newport, RI invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment in the College of Leadership and Ethics (CLE). The appointed scholar will develop leader development curricula and teach core and elective courses, with opportunities to travel and engage with Navy ships as needed.

Applicants must hold an earned doctorate in relevant social science fields and demonstrate scholarly credentials; US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are

Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate with current experience and substantial credentials as an educator and scholar in one or more specified areas.
  • Experience as an educator and scholar in organizational behavior, leadership, ethics, or related fields.
  • Data analytics experience is desired. Familiarity with the U.S. military is preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship able to obtain a Secret Security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve leader development curricula for NWC students from O-4 to Flag Officer.
  • Teach or co-teach core and elective courses and deliver lectures in varied settings.
  • Travel and may embark on U.S. Navy ships as needed.
