Job summary

Terrestris is seeking an Adjunct Faculty Instructor NAV 101: Naval Ethics and Leadership for the US Naval Community College. This remote 1099 contractor role requires delivering online asynchronous instruction to enlisted Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen, eight hours per week across a 10-week term, with up to two courses per term for experienced instructors.

The Fall I term runs Aug 10, 2026 through Oct 4, 2026.

Qualifications

• Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Relevant military or government experience and/or working with military personnel.
• Experience teaching at the collegiate level in an online environment.
• Academic credentials consistent with the role: military ethics, leadership, and related subjects.
• 10–15 years of direct field experience preferred in senior leadership.
• Strong online teaching experience with adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality online asynchronous instruction via Blackboard LMS.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Facilitate online discussions that promote critical thinking.
• Maintain office hours and participate in faculty meetings.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and end-of-course evaluations.
• Ensure content aligns with USNCC policies and Navy standards.
