Job summary

The U.S. Naval War College in Newport, RI invites applications for a faculty appointment in the College of Leadership and Ethics (CLE).

The successful candidate will develop leader development curricula and teach core and elective courses, potentially traveling or serving on Navy ships. A doctoral degree and substantial teaching credentials are required, with desired experience in military ethics and leadership studies.

Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate with current experience and substantial credentials as an educator and scholar in organizational behavior, leadership development, I/O psychology and related fields.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for Secret clearance.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. military, specifically the Department of the Navy, is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve leader development curricula for NWC students from O-4 to Flag Officer.
  • Teach or co-teach both core and elective courses; deliver lectures in public and classroom settings.
  • Travel may be required and telework is limited by agency policy.
