St. Edward's University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Kinesiology Department, beginning August 2027.

The teaching load is 12 credits per semester with one course reassignment per year for research. Courses include Exercise Physiology, Strength Training and Conditioning, Musculoskeletal Anatomy and Biomechanics, and Exercise Testing and Prescription.

Qualifications

• Ph.D./Ed.D. required in exercise physiology, exercise science, kinesiology, or related field.
• Experience teaching at the college level and engaging diverse undergraduates.
• Strong English writing and speaking skills.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and collaboration; successful background check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Advise undergraduate students academically.
• Meet school and university service requirements.
• Promote the kinesiology major within the department.
• Maintain an active program of quality research.
• Develop new courses and/or curriculum as requested.
• Commit to social responsibility in classroom teaching consistent with the university mission.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.
